However, if the specialist also sells medicines, GST registration may be required if their gross turnover from medicine sales exceeds £40 lakh. If the specialist provides both goods and services, registration is needed if the total value of supply exceeds £20 lakh. Note that cosmetic surgery services are liable for GST.

Medical services are exempt from GST, but Cosmetic Surgery is liable to GST. If a person is supplying goods and services both then he is required to get registered under GST if his value of supply exceeds Rs.20 lacs.
