17 March 2010 Can we debit the charges for labour for shifiting & housekeeping for fg,rm to frieght rawmaterial account?is there no account avialable for this except for this?

17 March 2010 The labour for shifting of RM and Housekeeping of any stores should not be charged to the stores account. It is an indirect expense connected with the process of manufacture / store maintenance. You may account the entire expense as indirect labour expense.

17 March 2010 The charges are for labour and not freight. I belive, they should be booked only to the labour head.
