03 October 2013 We are manufacturer of Ferro Alloys (CHAP-72). Recently we are negotiating with a Foreign Buyer of Slovenia to do job work for them, i.e., they will supply us the primary raw material from abroad and we will manufacture at our production facilities in India with their supplied way material and with addition of some others raw materials procured in India. Then the finished goods will be exported to Slovenia. In return we will receive conversion cost. What are the procedures for the same. Are we eligible for export benefits, i.e., DEPB and FPS. Please advice.

04 October 2013 How the raw material will be imported (raw materials are supplied free of cost to us by the foreign buyer) and at what valuation, i.e., on conversion cost or on the full valuation, the finished goods will be exported.

04 October 2013 for this purpose you must apply for ADVANCE LICENCE.

An advance licence is granted for the import of inputs without payment of basic customs duty. Such licences shall be issued in accordance with the policy and procedure in force on the date of issue of the licence and shall be subject to the fulfillment of a time-bound export obligation.
