I have not filed my service tax returns since March 2006 as there was no income. I want to surrender my certificate now. What's the procedure?

You can surrender the RC online on aces. After online surrender the RC you will submit the hard copy before the superindent of service tax with service tax return. If you have not filed service tax return then department can imposed the penalty for non-filing of service tax return.
