Is there any time limit for filing an amended income tax return? Can we file an amended Company Annual Return with ROC? Please clarify. Thanx in advance.

Provision for revised income tax returns are contained in Section 139(5) of the Income Tax Act.
A revised return can be filed upto 1 year from the end of the assessment year.
However, the return can be revised only if the original return was filed on or before the due date.

Annual return before ROC can be revised by filing e-form 20B with requisite normal and additional fee.
