exemption and carry forward in icwai

This query is : Resolved

22 February 2010 hi sir what is meant by exemption and carry forward in icwai exams.i failed in two subjects in group iii but got 60 marks in one of the subject .can i carry forward the marks ?or how i can claim exemption?is i have to write a letter for claiming exemption or it is sufficient claiming in exam form?please help in this matter

23 February 2010 1. Exemption in ICWAI is getting 60 or more marks.
2. You can carry forward any Exempted subject in which you get 60 or more. But in ICWAI this marks will be counted as 50 for Aggregate purpose in subsequent exams .. once you avail exemption .. it will be considered 50 marks only... and for the remaining papers u need to get the aggregate of 50% in subsequent exams.

3. No need of claiming exemption any where .. Keep your marks list in which you get Exemption and fill the Exam form with Roll No. subject and Term etc details.

Thank you,
Suresh.

23 February 2010 agree....

23 February 2010 so is your case. It's both exemption and carry fwd

23 February 2010 hw it can be carry forward as i have not secured 40% marks in the other two subjects which i scored 35&36 marks respectively

23 February 2010 it is only exemption not carry forward. one is entitle for carry forward only if he secure atleast 40% marks in each paper of a group but could not clear group.
for other thing, agree with suresh

24 February 2010 thank u sir
