02 May 2009 We have purchased a machine and have taken cenvat. After few month using in production that machine we have sent to our branch for two month for production purpose. In this case, we have to pay excise duty on this. If, yes which value?

02 May 2009 Under Rule 4 (5) (a) you can send the capital goods for job work outside under a returnable delivery challan. The same should be returned within 180 dyas. If not recived back then there is a duty liability for reversal of the credit availed.
