Please tell me the due date of filing of ESI return and what are the provisions regarding late deposit of ESI as related to interest and penalty????

31 August 2011 half yearly returns are to be submitted within 42 days from the close of half year. ( for manual challans only)

late payment is subject to inspection and imposition of penalty/ interest, or settle the same in the court.

eletronic challans does not need to file return now.
