i am efiling ay year 2010-11 return now but error showing original return to be submitted before 31-03-2012 please help as i have to claim refund

As per income tax act u/s 139, you can file a return upto 12 months from the end of the A/Y.
So in your case return for A/Y 2010-11 you can file return and claim refund upto 31st march 2012.
If you have not file return upto the due last date then you have not file the return and cant claim refund. now your return has time barred.
