Dear Friends
I just want to know as to where can i find the effective dates for the amendments taken place in the recent budget
For eg. Under Sec 194C the rate has been reduced from 2% TO 1% for Individual Contractors. So From What date this comes into effect

Changes effected from April 01, 2009. But you don't need to be change your previous data. You change the amendmends now onwards.

Budget is converted in act as and when it receive assent of president. However effective date is 1.4.2009 unless specified in that particular provisions

Under Sec 194C the rate has been reduced from 2% TO 1% for Individual - w.e.f 01.10.2009
