AN ASSESSEE EDUCATIONAL LOAN TAKEN FOR HIS DAUGHTER HIGHER EDUCATIONAL PURPOSE LOAN TAKEN FROM INDIAN SCHEDULED BANK IN INDIA BUT DAUGHTER IS STUDYING IN AUSTRALIA FATHER WAS REPAYMENT OF INTEREST ON LOAN HE IS ELIGIBLE FOR EXEMPTION OF 80E

1. EDUCATIONAL LOAN REBATE IS STUDYING IN INDIA OR OUT SIDE INDIA ALSO PLEASE CLARIFY MY DOUGHT

16 January 2010 As per Sec.8OE Allowing interest on loan for higher education in School, board or university recognised by the Central Govt or State Govt ot Local Authority or any other autority authorised by Central,State Govts or Local authority to do so, if the Studying Instituion authorised by the Indian Govt for claiming Deduction it can be claimed
