EC 2% applicable Date, EC 1% app. date ??

12 February 2009 please may any one tell me the applicable date/month/year of Edu Cess of 2% as well as 1% in income tax in india.

Education cess @2% applicable in income tax 1.4.2005

Secondary & higher Education cess levied 1 % on TDS deduction made in F.Y. 2007-08, same will be applicable after Budget Passed or from 1-April-2007

Kindly note That in Excise & Serice tax date id diffrent.
