E- filing of returns

20 March 2014 I want to know that now is it possible to file online the return for the financial year 2009-10 , 2010-11(Ass. year 2010-11 & 2011-12). I have read in newspaper that it is possible to file online upto March, 2014. I want to know whether it is correct? Please solve my query. Because normally it is possible to file for only two latest assessment years.

20 March 2014 It is not possible, Its not true, CBDT has extended the time to received ITR-V for A.Y 2009-10,2010-11 and 2011-12 for those have TDS refund and already return e-filed but ITR-V not reached to the CPC, for this cases CBDT get extended the due date to received ITR-V acknowledgement by 31-3-2014. But it not extended the due date to e-file.

The News in news paper is wrong, The new agencies properly not understand about the circular but they posted in their paper as they think, So CBDT has not extended time for e-filing of such assessment years.
