E-filing for clients online.

I am a tax consultant, I file Income tax returns for salaried employees and professionals. I would like to know if I could file returns online for my clients, if yes how can I do it.
Kindly let me know the procedure, as I would like to register for(Income tax practitioner) with the Income tax department.

You can file returns online for your clients. Pl visit www.incometaxindia.gov.in >efiling for the procedures.

You can file return of your clients using their user id and password. Since you use the id and password of your client, in effect and for all purpose, your client is filling his/its return.

Thank you for your responce,Mr Warrier and Mr Naik,Kindly let me know, Should I create login id and password for all my clients and use the same login id password every year. If the client has created a login id and password and does not remember the same can we create a new login and password for them.
Also Please let me know the registration process with the income tax department.

The login id is uniform, ie. PAN in small cap. So there can be only one id. As far as PW is concerned, if the old PW is forgotton, new password can be created by following the forgot PW link. Acknowledgement in form V has to be filed within 15 days from the date of uploading the return electronically, unless digitally signed.
