An assessee is eligible to claim deduction under 80 C and 80G.He wants to file his return online. then how shall be the supporting for Deductions submited to IT Dept ?
While filing paper returns, we can attach a xerox copy of the document, say LIC cetificate or HL Certificate, and sent it along with the return. But what is to be done in case of E-filing?

Physical ITR are annexureless returns.No documents are required to be attached.
For all types of Filing, online or physical : The proofs of deductions should be preserved and kept for submitting to the Officer if Assessment takes place later on.

Income tax return shall not accompany any attachments / annexures. Pl see clause 6 of CIRCULAR NO. 03 / 2009, DATED 21-5-2009.
