16 February 2015 In case of proprietorship firm due date of tax payment is 6th day of month immediately following the quarter in which Service Tax is due.

For example:

if tax liability arise in 11th November 2014, then due date of payment is 6th January 2015.

16 February 2015 But is it not when it says, "Due date of payment is the 6th of next month of the date of payment of invoice against Reverse charge"

16 February 2015 As per Rule 6(1) of Service Tax Rules, 1994 the due date in case of individual is 6th of the month immediately following the quarter.

The rule 6 applicable in both cases whether it is direct charge or reverse charge.

Further as per Rule 7 of POT, the liability arise under reverse charge in the month in which the payment of invoice is made (max 3 months).
