Hello everyone,
in firm where i did my articleship 90% of the returns are filed manually. only refund cases returns are filed electronically.
there r other CA firms which files all returns electronically.
senior says that the chances of scrutiny in onliine filing is much more than manual filing.
Please clarfity.

Scrutiny does not depend on whether the assessee has filed a manual return or an e-return.
The department issues an internal circular regarding scrutiny.
An assessee who satisfies any of the conditions in the circular is selected for scrutiny, irrespective of the fact whether the return has been filed manually or electronically.
