Difference between co. act and co. (amen) act

In India why there are so many companies act are there like companies act 1956 , companies (amendment) act 2000, and other acts like this,what is the "use, applicability, and necessity" of so many acts, and also then there are RULES applicable on companies. Is there any difference between them or they same with some amendments ?

The Companies Act, 1956 is an original Act, and the provisions of such Act is amended time to time by MCA by Companies (Amendment) Act of the year in which amendment happens.
For example:
The Companies (Amendment) Act, 2000
The Companies (Amendment) Act, 2007
The Companies (Amendment) Act, 2011
