This query is : Resolved

Quick Summary
Discussion clarifies that KDR stands for Kamadhenu Deposit Receipt used by a bank as a type of fixed deposit. It is largely similar to FDR, though some believe KDR may involve compounded interest while FDR may use simple interest.

13 April 2010 Pls. Anyone Tell me that

What is Diff. Between FDR & KDR and what is full form KDR ???

Pls. reply asap

13 April 2010 Canara Bank uses the term KDR for 'kamadhenu deposit receipt' which is a fixed deposit scheme.

13 April 2010 I.E THERE IS NO DIFFERNCE IN KDR & FDR. ONLY CANARA BANK USES KDR TERM FOR FDR.

13 April 2010 I think in KDR's interest is accumulated and interest is paid on interest also, i. e. interest is compunded and in FDR simple interest is calculated.
