Please define me stratline method of depretiation if assests are 11kv transformer. which was purchase dt:27/12/03 rs. 955000 as present we are sale out it. how we are calculate the dep. @15% whats its books value.

Purchase Cost > 9,55,000
SLM Depreciation rate > 15%
Depreciation Amount > 1,43,250
Sale Date > 30/06/2010
Calculation >
Cost = 955000
- Dep for 2003-04 (3 Months approx) = 35812
- Dep for 6 Years @Rs.1,43,250 = 859500
from 2004-05 to 2009-10
- Dep for 2010-11 (for 3 months) = 35812
Net Book Value = 23,876
Purchase Cost > 9,55,000
SLM Depreciation rate > 15%
Depreciation Amount > 1,43,250
Sale Date > 30/06/2010
Calculation >
Cost = 955000

Rahul Ji your calculation is correct,but as per my calculation (dep for broken up period taken on days basis.)---
Cost = 955000
Dep for 2003-04 (94 days) = 36892
Dep for 6 Years @Rs.1,43,250 = 859500
from 2004-05 to 2009-10
Dep for 2010-11 (91 days) = 35714
Net Book Value = 22,894
Cost = 955000
Dep for 2003-04 (94 days) = 36892
