07 December 2011 Hi Team,

I have filled my return of income online for AY-11-12. i also deposited my self assessment tax on time [ I am salaried person and due to job change i have to form 16, i clubbed both the income while filling the return and paid self assessment tax on time]i have all TDS and self assessment tax details in 27AS from. but income tax office issued demend notice to me. Could you please let me know what action need to take in this regards.

08 December 2011 First of all you need to go through the intimation u/s 143(1) and compare the same with your return to find out the difference between your computation and that made by CPC.

Then you need to analyse the difference for the same.

The difference might be because you have not properly filled up the ITR.

You will then need to file an online rectification application.

09 December 2011 Agreed with the expert and sending intimation under 143(1) is now being given to all the assessees, do not worry (Whether differences are there are not). So be cool.
