Deduction under sec 80 ccd (2)

This query is : Resolved

15 January 2015 i wanted to know if sec 80ccd (2) should be read with sec 80cce or not i.e can the employee claim deduction over and above 150000 and the contribution by employer does not exceed 10% of salary of employee

15 January 2015 150,000 is the upper limit , that can NOT be vitiated.
Within that both the sections play their respective ROLES.

16 January 2015 I Found this under an article with DNA newspaper which gives a completely opposite view
"However, there is only one restriction that only up to 10% of your salary only qualifies for deduction without any monetary limit. It works wonders for those in the highest tax bracket, as there is no absolute limit up to which your employer can contribute towards your NPS account for claiming the deduction as long as this is within the limit of 10% of your salary"

19 January 2015 That is NOT the intention of LAW maker.

Can you please quote the date and the author of DNA...Let us try to obtain those VIEWS without any HIDDEN ifs and buts
