10 October 2008 Dear All,

Can anybody please tell me what are the deduction form salary while calculating the taxable salary i.e. washing allowances, travelling, employes state insurance etc.

10 October 2008 16(iii)-- Profession tax
10(13A)-- House rent allowance
10(14) -- Tavelling allowance @Rs.800/- per month.
The above is only an example.There are other exclusions from salary income which can be answered only on specific questions.
