Hi Sir, I have completed my CA in may 2014 attempt.I have already obtained the membership no. but have not obtained COP yet.At present I am working in mid size CA firm.I want your advise whether I should apply for COP and benefit of that. Thanks.

The benefits of COP would be you can not only undertake AUDITs but sign the reports as well.
Your CAREER plan will basically decide whether to go in for COP or not.

If you want to set up your own practice then you should obtain a COP.
You can sign tax audit reports, audit reports under various statutory laws (Companies Act, VAT, Mutual Funds, Banks) etc.
You can also enter into partnership with any CA/CA firm.
You can also hold a COP while working as an employee in a CA firm. While working as an employee you can undertake the above work in your own name.
