compensation paid by doctors

if compensation is paid by doctor for out of court settlement than such payment can be claimed as expenditure?? if yes than what documents are required??

Could not find a direct case law, however under section 37(1) it seems to be allowable under commercial expediency as the expenditure is done to save the business / goodwill of the the business. The settlement deed along with the payment evidence would be required to claim the expenditure.
