What is the significance of name renewal?
I have one company whose approval of name was granted on 18.03.2010 and 60 days are about to get expire. If i file name renewal now will it affect further filing if i receive the documents tom?

No. But if you don't get the documents in time, then without the extension of name approval, you have to obtain fresh approval of name (which is cumbersome process).

How should i upload the form filled for name renewal?
If i upload the same, an error message appears that it should be done through login services tab. but there is only form available. No submission option is there.

Once you login the MCA site, you will find the last item in the services column as "Apply for Company Name Renewal".
Click on the same and fill the form, verify it and submit.

But it is not getting submitted from there. Only verification is done from there. If i press the button "submit" then it shows "please connect to the MCA portal" although i ma already connected to MCA portal.

Don't know what the problem could be. Might be with the MCA site. Try after sometime.
