I have been served a Assessment order to pay Income Tax of Rs. 82000 . my file was in scrutiny.
Can i file a Appeal to CIT (appeal)
I want to ask whether before filing appeal i will be forced to pay tax as stated above otherwise my appeal will not be considered.
what is Legal position in this matter.

You can file an appeal before the CIT ( Appeals) with out paying the demanded tax.
However, after 30 days of the order, department will seek recovery if no stay is obtained.
