Condonation . E-Verification of last year return .

12 September 2026 1.My last year retrun that is for 31.03.2025 ( A.Y.2025-26) has been uploaded before due date that is on 31.07.2025 but e verification has been done now that is on 12.09.2026 and its showing invalid return also there was a tax payable of Rs.10k. Can anyone suggest what i can do. whether i have to pay the tax. is there any option to revise the return .

2. My this year return is filled on due date that is on 31.03.2026 can i use the condonation option for delay in e verification of return OR it will also be considered as invalid return . I need suggestion.

12 September 2026 To regularize both returns, submit a Condonation Request for Delay in e-Verification under Section 119(2)(b) via Services > Condonation Request on the e-filing portal for each assessment year. For AY 2025–26, you cannot file a revised return and must pay the pending ₹10,000 tax plus interest under Sections 234A, 234B, and 234C using e-Pay Tax under Self-Assessment Tax. Once the department approves condonation for both years, the returns will be validated and processed.
