I have paid bills sinceJuly 2017 to March 2018 having GST whose credit can be claimed. These have not yet been updated by supplier so not showing in GSTR 2A.
Can I claim these ITC from my own side against the tax payment for March.

Yes you can claim these ITC from your own side against the tax payment for March. You also request your supplier to update GST return your invoice omissions.

you have to update the details of purchase party in filling of GSTR 2. GSTR 2 is not started from the month of August . only July GSTR 2 is demanded by govt.
so wait untill govt demands GSTR 2 return.
