26 April 2015 "exemption can be availed for any two children it is not compulsory that exemption is allowed only for first two children" what is the relevance of this line because employee will get max 100 pm irrespective of incurred.

26 April 2015 it means if u have 3 children. its not compulosry to avail exemption for first two... u can have it for any two

26 April 2015 Rs 100 per month per child upto a maximum of two children.

So if you have only one child you will get deduction of Rs 100 per month. For two children Rs 100 per month per child. If you have more than two deduction is restricted to Rs 100 per month per child for maximum two children. If your spouse is also working he/she is can claim deduction for other child for which you have not claimed. Say you have 4 children then both of you can claim deduction for two children each. If you have 3 then one of you can claim for two children and the other for 1 child.
