09 November 2009 I have gone through Form 15CB . In my view it is only for commercial transaction. Whether it is necessary to give certificate in form 15CB for foreign remittance certificate regarding TDS whether a mother an indian citizen is giving gift to NRI Son & daughter In Law.Please reply ASAP

09 November 2009 The Form 15 CB and 15CA is not required for Certain Personal Remittances that RBI allows you to remit for personal purposes. See the notification for the new procedures effective July 2009. Authorised dealer will remit based on their dealings with the account holder. Of course under FEMA account holder is responsible to ensure that he does not exceed annual limits prescribed by RBI for the nature of his remittance. This is for sending gift in foreign currency.
