Capital gains on sale of immovable property

This query is : Resolved

22 January 2015 Dear all

I own a Flat which was built as 2 different flats by the builder, but on my request it was made into one single flat and sold to me as a single unit only. But the Flat no is still read as 100-101. However the property tax is paid as a single unit only.

Now should property be considered as 2 units or 1 unit for the purpose of Income from House property. ( Under DLOP provisons , as this property is is not let out )
because i have another property which is self occupied by me.

22 January 2015 It should be regarded as ONE property since the agreement to sale mentions it as one UNIT. You need not confuse yourself with SANCTIONED TENEMENTS by Corporation or Municipality as the case may be.

22 January 2015 it treat as a single property .
