Capital gain

I am an article and there is a client with the following details-
1.Purchased a residential Property for Rs. 17,00,000 in feb 2012- in the name of the wife
Sold the same for 33,00,000 in august 2015
2.purchased under construction house on feb 2015 i.e deed with the builder providing the possession in sept 2016 of 90,00,000 and 12,00,000 has been provided till march 2015 for the same- in the name of both (husband and wife) and also purchased the plot of land in august 2015 for 6,80,000(no plans of construction of any house)- in the name of the wife
wife do not have any other source of income.
suggest me how to calculate the gain to get the maximum benefit.
can i claim the benefit of 12,00,000 under section 54?
