07 July 2009 are the changes in direct tax to be implemented from 01.04.2009 or from immediate effect . if yes the what abou the advance tax paid and advance FBt paid during the first quarter for the companies. Will the advance FBt be refunded by the IT dept.
Further what about the surchage scrapping.budget says that surcharge need not be deducted but as per the applicability of such budget what about the TDS deductions these all will be deducted without levying surcharge?

07 July 2009 Yes, changes implication effected from April 01, 2009 and advance tax (FBT) will be refund to you as when you submit your ITR of F.Yr 2009-10.

Surcharge ;- change it now onwards and you don't need to be change previous data, but you can adjust it, if you paid excess.

07 July 2009 The Advance Tax(FBT) will be adjusted against the Income Tax Liability - CBDT Clarification.

10 July 2009 Representation are being made for this clarification from CBDT, no clarification has yet come. Lets see that the clarification comes soon. However it is wish of the industry / taxpayer that this clarification is our ASAP.
