I want to know about short term capital loss from share. Can i set-off the loss from short term capital loss of share against business proffession or Salary income ?
any one help me for solve this matter ?

TDS ON INTEREST ON LOAN.TERMS OF AGREEMENT ARE INTEREST TO BE ACCRUED ON HALF YEARLY PAYABLE BY THE END OF 18 MONTHS .DATE OF AGREEMENT IS 12TH DEC 2007.WHAT IS THE POSITION ON 31ST MARCH 2008.HOW THE TDS SHOULD BE DEDUCTED,WHEN IS THE DATE OF DEPOSIT FOR THE RESPECTIVE DEDUCTION
I am a member of housing society.I have taken loan for payment of construction cost to society.Subsequently,I obtained loan from employer & repaid the bank loan.I have paid Interest of Rs.50000 during the period 01-04-2005 to 31-3-2007.Further I have paid Rs.25000 as interest for the period 01-04-2007 to 31-03-2008.Allotment letter was issued by society in Sep-07.However possession was yet not been given.
Can I Claim deduction U/s.24 in the F.Y-2007-08 for interest paid & 1/5th of interest for earlier years.
Whether TDS should be deducted on the compensation amount paid to the land owner for not making the payment to him in time?
if yes under which section?

As our tenent has refused to pay the service tax on the rent amount of
Rs. 210000 per month. Can we now consider the total rent amount reveived now of Rs. 210000 per month as RENT including service tax i.e. (186900+23100 service tax)???
Can we now deposit service tacx of 12.36% on an amount of 186900 or Rs. 23100 instead of 12.36% of Rs.210000 which works out to be Rs. 25956 ?

There is one housing co-op.society having residential flats and it having only maintenance income and F.D. interst income.
If it's income exceeds the taxable income or not, whether it is compulsory for co-op. soc. to get it's account audited???

I have taken loan against house alloted to me.I have received allotment letter but still i have not received possession of that plot.My question is weather interest on loan taken for payment of house instalment is available for deduction or not under section 24.
