I am a LIC agent and earned commission in F/Y 2011-12. I filed return in Form -ITR 1 under Income from Other sources. I have got a letter from income tax U/s 139(9) saying that return is invalid.Letter has been written on 2nd Aug but i have received it on 14th Aug and i have been given time to submit my reply by 16th Aug only.
Please advise as to if i select income from other sources in retun ,is it wrong?
What remedy is left with me now.

In AY 2012-13 my jurisdiction was CITY X,In AY 2013-14 I have sifted to CITY y and in my ITRV address is of City Y.WHAT will be my jurisdiction.I have filled E return both years

Suppose my income is from salary, my TDS has been deducted by my employer and same has been paid. return also has been filed for the same.
The last date for filing ITR for individuals for AY 13-14 was 5th august,2013.
If i file my return after that date, will i be liable for paying interest u/s 234A...????
If yes then suppose after making computation, i am liable for refund, then what will be the consequences....even i filled the return lately..???

namaskar sir, agricultural rural land and residential house near that land was compulsorily acquired by NHAI. T.D.S was deducted on compensation of acquired building.
i want to ask that is this payment received on compulsory acquisition of land and building is exempt and how to claim the T.D.S deducted??

Hi, I got registered with my firm on 3 jan 2011 and my principal who was a paid assistant eligible for training an article under him as per regulation no 43. But he left the firm in September 2011....and now I have my exams due in nov 13....so wot shall I do....please assist me with the same whots the status of my articleship as m still working with the firm but my pricipal left the firm long back.
