I have received and intimation u/s 200A from TDS,CPC,Vaishali,Gaziabad for quarter 4 ,financial year 2013-14 over mail.For the said period we have filed TDS return on 15th May,2014.However the TDS was deposited on 01/05/2014 instead of 30/04/2014 as the bank account is in Punjab and the banks were closed in Punjab due to General elections on 30/04/2014.
Now interest on late payment has been levied from date of deduction 31/03/2014 to date of deposit 01/05/2014.i.e 3 months as per the justification report downloaded from Traces .
Pls suggest what remedies do we have ??can we file a rectification with TDS Luxmi nagar,new delhi as the intimation is from CPC.
thankS

Dear Expert,
As per section 56(2)(viib) of the Income tax act, 1961, where an individual or a Hindu undivided family receives, in any previous year, from any person or persons on or after the 1st day of October, 2009 any immovable property,—
(i) without consideration, the stamp duty value of which exceeds fifty thousand rupees, the stamp duty value of such property;
(ii) for a consideration which is less than the stamp duty value of the property by an amount exceeding fifty thousand rupees, the stamp duty value of such property as exceeds such consideration
are to be considered as income of such individual or HUF.
My Question is that if the said property is disputed (i.e. tenants do not vacate the property) and seller sells the property at a price lower than SDV, then what will be the tax implications ?
Pls suggest any case law.
