My 1st yr of articleship is going to be end on 31st oct. 2013. I have an offer from a good firm as compared with my current firm but my CA is denying me for giving transfer.What should i do in this case ?i don't have much time.

If cost of current Investment at the year end=Rs93413 and Market value of investment at the year end=Rs Rs94050

In the above context:
Q1)Whether Difference of Rs637 will be Recognise in profit and loss a/c?If not Why?

Basic query in accounting

Mr X. Purchase 5000 equity shares of Rahul Ltd. Having face value of Rs10 for 25 on 1/10/2011.The company announces dividend @10% on 15/3/2012 for the year 2011. On 1.2. 2012 he purchases 500 equity shares of Rahul Ltd for Rs 10.

In the above context
Q1)Whether Dividend @10% will also be paid on purchases made on 1.2.12 ?Why?
