1 IS (IN THE EXCISE & CUSTOMS) REVISION BY THE COMMISSIONER OF EXCISE THE SAME IN THE WAY AS IN THE INCOME TAX ACT SEC 263 & 264? AS I HAVE READ THE PROVISIONS OF EXCISE IN BOOK THEY SAY THAT THEY ARE HAVING THE AUTHORITY JUST TO REVIEW & ORDER THEIR LOWER AUTHORITY TO GO FOR THE APPEAL FOR THE ORDER PASSED BY THEMSELVES. IS IT SO? OR THEY HAVE THE SAME AUTHORITY AS THE INCOME TAX COMMISSIONER UNDER SEC 263?THAT IS THEMSELVES PASSING ORDER IF PREVIOUS ORDER IS AGAINST REVENUE

hi.im abhishek.i gave my c.a final exam in june 2009 and only got exemption in mafa(70).to be very frank i stopped studying for exams 2 months back due to personal reasons.i was studying quite well till then.

i got following marks

accounts-31
law-43
audit-35
costing-35
mics-57
idt-34
dt-18

my dillema is as follows :

i need 130 marks now in 1st group to pass.i have finished my law,audit(did chapter i left for june exam like S.A and bank audit).im familiar with accounts,only thing to do in it is amalgamation and AS

i have done ASSESMENT,CAP GAIN,PGBP AND WELATH TAX in dt til now in 2 days

now my prob comes tht whether i should be conservative and do topics i did earlier also ? last time i didnt studied b4 exams,i left to exams on basis of wht i studied 2 months back,,,,

i have 40 days with me...i have big fear from AS as teacher( very well known) of mine did almost nothign in this regard.fellow tell me to do from d.s rawat book but seeing it cumbersome size,,is it feasible ???

please solve my foll queries ::

1) from where to do AS keeping time constraints??

2)i have not touched idt ever till now..didnt had coaching,have ajay jain book...how much time wil it take if i study from it ??

3)in costing i left OR..how much time wil it take ?

wht i have in my mind is that i make my 1st group very strong.i already hv 70 marks in mafa...if i make it strong then not only i wil be secure in it but i wil get around 220 in 1st group..and i wil only need 180 marks to pass second group which is big hype for me !!!

getting 180 marks in second group wil be somehow easy.had studied mics,costing in past,,,only need to study idt and dt(covered bit in dt also)...

please advice me wht to do in this case as i dont have any time left now and im in daily dillema to make my hands in both group and take risk or make my 1st group stronger and be secure in it and somehow give whatever time i can to secodn group...


im ready for worse also as life is not easy,,,even if i pass in 1st group good,,,i wil need only passing marks in 2nd group,,,(courtesy of 70 makrs in mafa)..so next time it wont be so hard

im dying to get some suggestions,i knw is very long query,but it explains my state of mind,,,complex..plz i invite all u fellows to advice me in this regard

any advice whether negative or positive wil be taken in healthy way

i have passed pcc & want to terminate my articleship on medical . By doing so my articleship after considering 3 month termination period on medical, will be completed on 21 may 2011.

Can i appear in final exam held in may 2011?
