I have made profit in f&o transaction of Rs.85000 in the month of January,2010.
I am not a regular trader so i don`t want it to be treated as business income. Can i treat this transaction as investment income & pay short term capital gain on the profit of Rs.85000 @ Rs.15% ?

i recently attended an interview(first interview) at an infrastructure company not with an intention to get selected but to gain some interview experience which will be helpful in future. To my surprise i got selected for the post of senior executive in the internal audit department with an handsome pay. But i got 6 months of articleship yet to be completed. I requested the company to give the offer letter after completion of my articleship.But the company is reluctant to that. They said if i want to join, then it should be now only. The company profile is very good. I'm confident that i have a bright career in that company.
what should i do now? please advice me.

I have converted from PCC to IPCC on 14/09/2009. I have already completed 22 months of articleship. I have also done ITT & orientation programme. According to announcement on 4/09/09 students converted from pcc to ipcc were allowed to attempt in nov 09 exam.
will such an exemption of relief of 9 months for converted students continue for may 2010 exam in respect of those who have already registered for PCC for more than 9 months?
Please help as I am waiting for the announcement & there are many such students willing to give attempt of IPCC but they are unable to give due to restriction of 9 months period.
Please help as you know exam forms are already out. Last date is 26/02/10. I am realy do not want to miss this attempt. As these are most important 6 months for me which I will lose if institute would not allow me.

I DOWNLOADED FILE FROM VAT SITE AND ALSO FILLED THE DETAILS BUT THE PERSS TO VALIDATE BUTTION IS NOT OPERATIVE. I saw the following message but i use office2007.

IF "if press to validate" button is not operative, please ensure that micro security in TOOLSs menu of Excel sheet has set at Medium or Low


in office 2007 i tried but couldnot find such options.

I am a c.a. Final student from hindi medium. I cleared pcc in 1st attempt with 60%.I read text books in english only not in hindi. but in exam i cant write good english.should i change my medium. I want to clear c.a. Final in 1st attempt (may 2011) does good english matter in exam or normal english is also okay in exam
