companies like BAJAJ Housing Finance ltd and Dewan Housing Finance ltd ,LIC Housing Finance ltd are raising money through Fixed deposits from public offering higher interest rate than banks.My query is under which law they are covered and is there any limit for raising the Fixed deposits from public by such companies.Is it safe to invest in such companies.

Dear Experts, Kindly advice, according to latest provisions of companies Act, whether a pvt ltd company can issue Equity shares agaist unsecured loan i.e. convert Unsecured loan into equity. Thanks in advance.

In case of a small company can we attach dsc of a director n upload d form mgt-7 or do we need to get it sign by a company secretary also?

If you are a director of a Company or persuing to become a director of a company a eight digit identification number called Director Identification Number(DIN) should be availed from the Ministry of Corporate Affairs. The online filing fee is only Rs.500.

One of my friend had applied for DIN and he received it instantly online, but, a week after that he received a courier from EMS stating he is suppose to pay Rs.998 (Rs.950 for the DIN instruction kit and Rs.48 for postal charges). My friend was not at home so someone at home had paid to the postman and received it.

The courier package contained nothing important, it only had few printed sheets about Director Identification rules and other Corporate act drawn from Ministry website.

On enquiring about it with MCA help desk they revealed something we could not imagine. They said, "It is a complete fraud, please don't believe in such postal packages, ministry of corporate affairs never sends such posts." Someone is cheating people through such courier packages.
