CUSTOMS VALUATION RULES 2007

In case importer pays any royalty on imported raw materials for further processing to be carried on it.
Whether it is to include in transaction value as per rule 10 or not.

According to explanation to rule 10 such royalty is to included not withstanding the fact that the said process is undertaken after the import.

But post importatation activities will not be included in tv as per decisions given by apex courts.

Kindly clarify me in this regard.

Export Benefits

Dear Experts,
I want to clear my doubts on the below topics:
1. Which export scheme should a company choose?
2. What is the difference between Duty Drawback on Exports, DEPB on exports, Excise Duty refund on exports?
3. Can someone pls guide as to what analysis one should do before choosing a particular export benefit scheme.

Thanking You,
Amit.

epcg licence

My doubts are:

1) Firstly, when we apply for EPCG lic. for local procurement, why we get refund of Excise Duty and why it is called as Refund of "TERMINAL" Excise Duty, why the word TERMINAL is used.

2) Secondly, For local procurement under EPCG lic. we will get refund of Excise Duty as mentioned above, why we will not get any refund from import items (cleared under EPCG LIC.)

3) Lastly, what benefit would govt. gets if Excise Duty is refunded to the manufacturer.

Kindly reply to my doubts

Regards
K.Ravi

Export of Services

What are the consequences for export of services witout registering IEC code?

I have verified the official website of Directorate of General Foreign Trade but I am not able to get the result.

In the Website, they told no import or export are allowed without IEC Code but there is no clause about the consequences.
