Here is a query regarding the gift amount received by relatives :

Q.1 : what is the maximum amount of gift can father can gift to his / her son daughter? weather the amount of gift received by his son/daughter is taxable for them or not?

Q.2 : If my Father, mother ,grand mother, elder brother , younger sister(married/unmarried)wants to gift Rs. 100000/ each to me. Weather I am eligible to receive the gift from them & upto what maximum limit? Weather this gift income is taxable for me or not?

Kindly please resolve the query at the earliest for which I will be vary thankful.

is rectifictn is neccesary when there is a diff betn income calculated by assessee and income calculated by income tax dept..??..

but the overall income tax return is nil from dept point of view as well as assesse point of view..

so please reply is it neccesary to revisd it or stay wid my old return..??

I am a pensioner, 62yrs, also drawing a family pension and having getting tnterest on various types of FDs.

Which ITR should I fill?
How much of the family pension is deductible? Does this amount refer to the basic pension or the total pension I actually get?
I shall be obliged if you could enlighten me on this.

My friend filled last year it return now he want to file current year but the person who filled his last year return is not co-operating with him and not giving password to him . Also my friend's bad luck he lost last year's IT acknowledge copy so he didn't have the number . Plz tell me how he can reset the Password.

i have received intimation from income tax department u/s 143 (1)...but there is no refund no demand...overall its nil return..

so it is neccesary to file revised return becauase last date is 31.03.2014...please help

I Have a query about Tds on debit note because our customer paid frieght amount to transporter on behalf of us.Then our customer release debit note to us.Now we deduct tds on that debit note. it is correct or not? pls advise me
