We are manufacturers of plastic items. We have moulds and dies that have been used by us but due to new designs are lying idle. We want to give these mould to our sister company / factory on rental basis.
Our factory is situated in Sikkim and the factory who wants to take the mould on rent is in Siliguri, West Bengal. Rent so decided is Rs. 10000/- PM.
How will the excise be treated in Sikkim and Siliguri and also if there is any tax to be taken into cosideration. We have taken full input credit for capital goods in Sikkim.
Thanks and Rgds

Our client is a merchant exporter and is not registered under Central Excise. Now that they have purchased from a manufacturer, the manufacturer is demanding CT-1 form for removing those goods. These goods are very urgently required by our client and hence cannot afford to follow excise registration and CT-1 procedure. Is it possible to remove the goods from the factory by paying excise duty as CT-1 form is not available? Or is there any alternate method?
Is CVD duty and additional duty leived on the Import of goods BOTH are eligible for being set-off under CENVAT credit
Sir,
Will someone give his valuable suggestion on the following:
Is there any provision in Excise law where excisable goods can be removed without payment of duty if one opts for the option of not availing Cenvat on Input products. Please quote the section if possible.

Sir,
We are manufacture of excisable goods. The company now intends to remove the goods from the factory without paying duty on the ground that we will not avail input credit on purchase.
My query is-
1.Whether we can remove the goods without payment of duty on the above ground. Is there any provision in the Excise Law for the same.
2.Is there any provision in the Excise Law where the Company can maintain simultaneously two godowns with a partition wherein one godown is used for Excisable goods and the second one is used for non-excisable goods.
Your immediate reply on the above matter will be highly appreciated.

As per TRADE NOTICE NO.:3/2004-CE, it was clarified that the process of drawing of wires from wire rods does not amount to manufacture under section 2(f) of the Central Excise Act, 1944. I want to know if that position still continues or wire drawing was later considered as manufacturing vide some notification. Kindly mention the notification no. if it has been changed.
