Can an NRI invest in realestate in India? if yes what is the procedure i.e. any permission from the RBI to be got.
Also if he wants to fund the investment by taking a loan against the same from a foreign bank, is this allowed.

I AM VIJAY. I COMPLETED MY CA PE-2 FOR EXAMS HELD IN NOVEMBER 2006. THEREAFTER I JOINED CA FIRM IN DELHI ON 15/02/2007 . FOR THE FIRST 3 MONTHS ALL WAS GOING WELL.
BUT THEN SOME PROBLEMS DO OCCUR BETWEEM MYSELF AND MY CA.
WE WERE ASKED TO DO SOME WORK WHICH WERE NOT AT ALL GOOD(PEON TYPE WORK)AND I WAS AGAINST THAT AND ALSO WITH THE BEHAVIOR OF MY CA. THINGS WERE GOING BAD WITH EACH PASSING DAY. i thought that i have lost my self respect in that firm AND I DECIDED TO TAKE TRANSFER FROM THE FIRM.
I CAME TO KNOW THAT WE HAVE TO WORK FOR ATLEAST 6 MONTHS IN ANY CA FIRM ONLY THEN W CAN TAKE TRANSFER.
I DO FIND FOR MYSELF A GOOD CA FIRM BUT MY CA DID NOT GIVE ME TRANSFER AND SAID YOU HAVE TO WORK FOR ATLEAST 1 MORE MONTH AND ONLY THEN WE WOULD GIVE YOU TRANSFER.
THEREFORE I WORKED FOR ANOTHER 1.5 MONTHS WITH THE FIRM.
ON THE DAY OF TRANSFER THAT IS ON 0/10/2007 WHEN I ASKED AS TO WHAT ABOUT THE LEAVE, MY CA SAID THAT YOU WERE ON 108 DAYS FOR THE SAID 7.5 MONTHS. BUT ACCORDING TO ME IT COULD NOT BE MORE THAN 35-35 DAYS. WITH THE HELP OF SIR PARTNER THAT IS SIR WIFE I DO GET TRANSFER WITH 48 DAYS LEAVE.
THEREAFTER I STARTED LOOKING FOR MYSELF IN ANOTHER CA FIRM BUT THINGS DO NOT GO WELL.
I DO GET A CA FIRM FOR TRAINING WITH SOME RELATIVES HELP BUT I AM SATISFIED WITH THE FIRM SINCE I AM GONG TO WORK IN THAT FIRM FOR THE PAST 50DAYS AND I HAVE TO JUST SIT IN THE OFFICE ON THE INTERNET ALONE AND THERE IS NO PRACTICAL EXPOSURE.
