I want to subcribe for CA members journal to gain more knowledge of income tax,VAT,finance,service tax,company law,FEMA etc.


How good is the BCA journal and chamber of income tax consulatnt. Whether it is good to subscribe or their is some other journal which can be subcribe?

I need your valuable openion of the following issue:

I had issued two cheques to a party one of them was post dated cheque (Due in July 08). However, the party first presented the post date cheque to the bank and bank processed it by debiting my account but due to this my second cheque, which was a valid cheque, got Dishonoured on account of insufficient balance in my account.

Kindly suggest me what kind of action I can take against the bank as the cheque bouncing is matter of Negative Credit Rating.

CST RATES CUTS 3% TO 2%

We have been charging 2%CST on our direct sales from April'08 onward based on Union Govt. Budget announcement.
Kindly let us know whether we should continue charging 2% or revert back to 3%.

sir i passed cpt in nov 2007 i joined articles in dec 3rd 2007 according to icai rules i cant take exams in 2009 may but i will do articles for 39 hours in a week i.e 7 hours in first five days and 4 hours on saturday i.e 39*72(72 weeks from december 2007 to may 1st 2009) it takes to nearly 2800 but i want to do articles of 35hours *78=2730hours.i am compliting the total hours and just for 23 days short of 18 months i want to wait for 6 months please some one guide me in this regard pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

A Firm is having 2 partners. Their profit sharing ration is 50:50.One of the partner wants to gift its entire partnership capital to the partner whois her son.

If yes the entry can be done by a JV in books and preparing gift deed or we should give it by cheque.
