Dear friends,
I have branch office at mumbai and H.O in Gujarat.
i have been charged with 5 % as entry tax for bringing texturised yarn from mumbai to gujarat, even though both office are registered with VAT.
Pl show a way

When the goods are brought into the state of Maharashtra,even by way of stock transfer, entry tax is applicable and has to be paid,except when it is for resale.If such goods are consumed for manufacture of some other goods ET has to be paid...mjk
