26 January 2018 If IT Return of Ay 17-18 remained non-filed by the way inadvertently, what will be the procedure for filing such return ? Whether certain special permission from the assessing officer shall have to be taken ? What will be the adverse consequences of non-filing.

26 January 2018 As per my view., Till the date no more notification or details about this way... But, Definitely we can get any options for Non-filing of ITR...

27 January 2018 While thanking you for your response I would like income tax department to give us time till 31st March 2019 as per the earlier rules and regulations and from Ay 2018-19 it all should be started. There are so many people who still are not aware of the change in law and they are fully relaxed with this impression the due date for belated returns is upto 31st March 2019. Whatever be the matter, the income tax department should give some other option also on this issue in case if someone is delayed due to wrong impression.
