Basis of payment of service tax w.e.f 4/2011

22 July 2011 our depptt. pays service tax in maintenance or repair category.before 31st march 2011 we paid service tax when we received service tax amount .first we issue a bill then we gets service tax amount .after that we pay service tax amount to govt.account.I want to know that is there any amendment for payment of service tax w.e.f.4/2011

22 July 2011 For the bills from April 1,2011 to June 30,2011 u have an option to pay service tax as per the method followed by u or on due basis. Form July 1,2011 onwards service tax has to be paid on due basis. For full details pl see 'point of taxation rules,2011' in www.servicetax.gov.in
