Articleship under paid assistant ca

I'm associates with one of the CA firm as paid assistant. Now my question is, is it permitted by ICAI to register article assistant under paid assistant-CA.

21 November 2014 You can register as articled clerk with the CA if the vacancy exists. There is NO any question of CONVERSION of paid asst into articled.
